The Charcoal Kiln "EURO"

The main advantages of this kiln are environmental safety and high efficiency comparing to the relatively small size. CK "EURO" is used for lump timber waste, soft and hard fuelwood processing in order to obtain charcoal used for industrial needs. This kiln can be used in different forms of ownership dealing with procurement and processing of timber.
The kiln is handled by 2-3 people; the productivity of the kiln is 45 tones of the high-quality charcoal per month. The furnace is 100% safe. It can be perfectly used for woodworking enterprises to process waste products into charcoal. Moreover the kiln is able to process wood briquettes into charcoal, which will have much better characteristics. At the same time fuel briquette does not change its form and structure, but because of the construction trucks, while unloading the number of drop-out rate is less than 5%!


When using the charcoal kiln CK "EURO" is recommended to use forklift or Rockley (hydraulic trolley). The installation can be additionally equipped with:

  • Dismountable roof. Allows you to operate the kiln in all weather conditions
  • Condensing steam-gas mixture system. Condensed pyrolysis gas, in order to obtain the pyrolysis products, combined into a single line a few kilns
  • Stationary Overpas. Simplifies loading trucks in the chamber
  • Manual telpher (up to 2 tons). Simplifies installation of trucks on the overpass for loading into the chamber
  • Electric winch. Just for ease of trucks installation on the overpass to be loaded into the chamber
  • Recovery boiler. Allows you to use the excess heat released into the process for household needs

The kiln is unique as we don’t move raw material from chamber to chamber as it is done in similar pyrolysis kilns by supplying heat through the wall. We move the process that ensures high efficiency with relatively low costs.

THE BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Charcoal kiln "EURO" consists of 2 chambers which are connected with the heating chamber, and with each other. Each chamber has a smoke removing pipe. Chambers are equipped with smoke removing channels which are used to direct gas that is obtained during pyrolysis process in a heating chamber that provides ecological cleanliness of process.

12 trucks are included in the delivery set. This ensures the continuity of the process, i.e. the kiln belongs to facilities that can be used under control of 3 working shifts by 8 hours each. The construction of the kiln includes drying and pyrolysis modes. There is no need to move raw materials when changing the mode.

Preliminary prepared wood, is located in trucks. The loading can be carried out both manually and by using conveyor or mechanical log splitter. After that the trucks are moved to the drying/pyrolysis chamber, which is drying mode. Three trucks are loaded into each chamber, the capacity of the each truck is more then 1 m3 of wood.

After the loaded wood becomes completely dry (it will be displayed on the temperature detector), the chamber is transferred to the «pyrolysis» mode. The formed pyrolysis gases are directed into fire chamber, where they are burned to maintain the process. The remaining heat from the chamber in the «pyrolysis» mode goes to the one in the «drying» mode. When the pyrolysis gas formation stops, it means that the process in over. Then the «drying» mode of the chamber is switched over to the «pyrolysis» one and correspondingly chamber in the pyrolysis mode is moved to the drying mode. After the pyrolisys process in one of the chambers is over the trucks are moved out from this chamber to cool down.

The kiln is constantly working because the remaining heat after pyrolysis is used for the process. This provides high productivity of the kiln.

The construction of the kiln prevents traumatism of the service personnel and corresponds to the current State Standards and Ukrainian national standardization system.

* Value of parameter p.1 depends on following factors:
Humidity of wood; breed of wood (min.poplar, max. hornbeam, Crimean oak); the size of a piece. Increase in humidity in comparison with nominal (55 % rather.), essentially reduces productivity and increases the charge of fire wood for heating chamber. At humidity of 70 % rather (fresh to cutting deciduous wood during of juice movement) productivity decreases by 15-20 % Working cycle includes drying and wood pyrolysis processes and doesn’t include preparation, loading of raw materials, cooling and unloading of charcoal.

Standard equipment supplies charcoal kiln CK "EURO" fit in the trucks (lorry, TIR) with a volume of a trailer 86 m3. Possible to ship a 40 foot container, three trucks are sent unassembled.
