Development of new equipment for CK "EURO" |
|
The additional unit for CK “EURO” was developed and tested by the engineers of Greenpower Company. The intended use of equipment is preliminary drying of the raw material before it is loaded into the chamber. The preliminary drying significantly increases the efficiency of the kiln that increases the economic effect of charcoal production. The developed unit has high coefficient of efficiency as the drying is produced by combustion gases. The preliminary drying provides CK “EURO” with ample opportunities, for example in the future the complete automation of the charcoal burning process that will let to receive maximal output of charcoal irrespective of the experience of workers.
At the present time we conduct a trial of new equipment. In conclusion of trial the preliminary drying will be offered for sale. The installation of the system will be possible for any kiln “EURO”. Approximately it will be on sale in February-March, 2012

Charcoal has always been used as fuel material. However now, when gas, electricity and oil are commonly used, its production has declined. Unique characteristics of charcoal allow using it in various fields. Just recently it hasn’t been used commonly, but today it attacks more and more attention. Charcoal suits perfectly for domestic use – chargrills, fireplaces, barbeques, as it is smokeless and environmentally friendly. It can also be used in manufacturing industry: nonferrous machine industry (eg. to obtain aluminum, boron, etc.); in the production of pure silicium which is used to get semi-conductors; in chemical industry; metallurgy industry as deoxidant because there is a big amount of carbon in charcoal, in the production of glass, crystal, paint, electrode, plastic and in many other fields. Wood drying modes are combination of heat and humidity influences of drying component on wood, which provide necessary quality and rate of drying. Depending on requirements, set for the quality of drying, the wood can be dried in different modes and categories of temperature level.
When using the modes of high-temperature process the component of drying is superheated vapor by the atmospheric pressure with temperature higher than 100oC.

Charcoal is a solid porous high-carbon matter produced by the wood heating by low level of access (or without access) for air in the kilns and retorts. The charcoal combustion heat is 30000-35000 kJ/kg (or 7000-8100 kcal/kg). Significant porosity of charcoal determines its high adsorption properties.
